As chief of staff for the past 18 years to U.S. Representative Buck McKeon who is Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Bob has served as the Congressman’s key policy and political advisor.  Since 2000, he has also worked as PAC director of McKeon’s leadership committee, 21st Century PAC.  Prior to his current position, Bob served as the district director for U.S. Representative Carlos J. Moorhead for nine years.  From 2000 to 2005, he was president of the California State Society, a bipartisan membership organization of individuals living and working in Washington, D.C.  Bob also held the post of chair for the California Republican Chiefs of Staff. Bob was a Stennis Fellow in the 111th Congress. Out of high school, the Chicago White Sox selected him in the sixth round of the 1975 Professional Baseball Draft; he later went on to graduate California State University with a degree in political science.  Bob is married to the former Kellie Ann Going, and they have three children: Chris, Brent and Katie.
