Jennifer was attracted to her career on Capitol Hill because of the ability to make change while working in a system built on history, precedent and process. Her sense of obligation to the stability and continuity of Congress is what continues to draw her to this career. Jennifer began working with U.S. Representative Lynn Woolsey in 2006 as the legislative director before being promoted to her current position, deputy chief of staff. Previously, she served as the advocacy director for the Basic Education Coalition. Jennifer has held many other positions in the House including U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur’s legislative assistant, U.S. Representative Lane Evans’ legislative assistant and U.S. Representative Henry A. Waxman’s staff assistant. In 2008, Jennifer was honored Monmouth College’s Young Alum of the Year Award where she received her bachelor’s degree. She was a Stennis Fellow in the 111th Congress.
