STENNIS CENTER HOSTS STUDENT LEADERS IN WASHINGTON
The Stennis Center hosted student leaders from Mississippi State University for a program on March 31 in Washington, D.C. The students, members of the Stennis Montgomery Association, met with the Mississippi Congressional Delegation and congressional staff members. The students share an interest in public service leadership and many are pursuing jobs in Washington after graduation from Mississippi State. The students had opportunities to meet leaders in Washington and learn more about the executive branch and the legislative process. They also had an opportunity to learn history, including a tour of the Capitol and a visit to the Vice President's office to see a historic conference table that was the centerpiece of Senator John Stennis' office for many years.
