Captain Dave Buss, who took command of the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier in December 2003, visited Mississippi on February 23-24, 2004.  Captain Buss visited the Senator's hometown of DeKalb, his alma mater Mississippi State University, and addressed the Mississippi Senate and the Mississippi House of Representatives.
